As a 501(c)(7) organization, our focus is on creating an enriching social and recreational environment for our members. It’s essential to note that contributions, sponsorships, and donations made to The Gentlemen’s Den Association are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions. The IRS classifies our organization as a social and recreational club, rather than a charitable, educational, or philanthropic entity.

However, if you are a business, you may be able to treat your contribution as a business expense. We recommend consulting with your tax advisor to determine the benefits of writing of such contributions as a business expense.
Maintaining Balance

According to regulatory guidelines, no more than 35% of our gross receipts should come from non-member sources. This rule serves as a safeguard, ensuring that our primary mission remains dedicated to serving our valued members.
We take pride in our ability to provide a vibrant and supportive community primarily through members’ dues and fees. By adhering to the 35% threshold, we can uphold the core values of our organization, prioritizing the needs and interests of our members. This commitment allows us to navigate the regulatory landscape effectively while staying true to our mission of fostering positive growth within our community.
Transparency is a cornerstone of our approach, and we believe that by sharing this information, we not only uphold legal standards but also strengthen the trust and understanding between our organization and its supporters.
